Creating a tasty, new brand identity for a popular bakery
in the San Juan Islands.
For the past 39 years, Holly B's Bakery has been a beloved institution on Lopez Island. When new owners, Stephanie & Rory Smith, bought it from the previous owner, Holly B, they wanted to keep the bakery’s name to maintain the heritage. Deeply rooted in this small tight-knit community, it was important the new aesthetic demonstrated humility and reflected the handcrafted nature of their craft.
The brand refresh included a new logo and website, retail merch, packaging, and store signage. With the announcement launch coinciding with the 40th anniversary, Stephanie & Rory wanted to welcome the transition with a special t-shirt.
